Pasted down to board with brown borders, sheet has been enlarged at left and top edge. Large tree in left foreground (with animals beneath?), figure sketching on lawn centre, two figures under large trees right, hills and spire in distance. Inscribed "Hearne" lower left in brown wash. John Platt has written "By T Hearne (Signed). ASHTED PARK. from the collection of Wm Ward of Richmond" in pencil.
